Oaklands Glenview District is located in Central Oakland above Hwy 580 and extending up towards Hwy 13.  It extends to both sides of Park Blvd.  Glenview is a warm and welcoming community where most everyone knows their neighbors.  There is an active neighborhood website www.glenfriends.org .

Types of Properties:

The Glenview District offers many sizes of  homes various styles.  There are California Bungalows, Spanish Med’s and large scale Craftsmans.  Some income properties and condos are also present but it’s mainly filled with single family homes build between 1920-1950.  With prices are general lower than Montclair and Rockridge the Glenview is a popular spill over destination for home buyers still wanting a neighborhood feel but at a lower price point.

Being located in the Oakland foothills, the Glenview District is considered very walkable (see walkscore.com.)  Most homes are just minutes to the Glenview Shopping District.  The Glenview shopping district has had several terrific restaurants open up over the past year and have made great additions to the other stores such as the neighborhood Coffee house Cafe, Hardware store and Radio Shack.
