The city of Piedmont California has long been considered one of the best places to live in the entire state of California.  Its small town feel with big time properties and schools combine to make the city a highly desirable place to live.  Piedmont is in close proximity to San Francisco and is the only city in the country that is entirely surrounded by another single city (city of Oakland.)  It has its own police and fire departments as well as municipal offices and a public school system that is consistently ranked at the top of the class.  country.  There are (unoficially) three different areas to the city.  Central Piedmont, Upper Piedmont and Lower (Baja) Piedmont.

 

Central Piedmont is comprised of larger homes on mostly level lots as well as estate properties with values into the several millions of dollars. Lower Piedmont (sometimes referred to as Baja Piedmont) is comprised of more modest home styles and prices.  Upper Piedmont has steeper streets, more view lots and modest home sizes.  In general the home values in Piedmont hold up extremely well.  Evenin the midst of economic downturns.
